Only few of the 8001-8015 series coaches were repainted to the new Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority livery after the March 1958. In the last years of operation all of the 8000-series coaches were in storage; after the closure of the system in 1963 coach 8002 was preserved and now resides at the Orange Empire Railway Museum at Perris, CA.
