 Cleveland Transit System acquired 181 GM TDH-5103 coaches between September 1950 and May 1953, coaches of 3500-3630 series were delivered from GM in 1950-52 to continue the trolley line conversion. Coach 3629 operated in "Parade of Progress" in April 1952. Very satisfied with the new GM product, CTS ordered fifty more TDH-5103s for delivery in May 1953. Coaches of 3500-3630 series remained in service until 1970-71, most of them were sold to other operators.
