In March 1958 the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (LAMTA) took over all operations of LATL and Metropolitan Coach Lines. Some PCC cars received the new two-tone green livery with white a roof, however 26 P-class PCCs remained in the old LATL livery until the end of the trolley operation in March 1963.
