 Chicago placed a large order of 50’ PCCs with St.Louis Car Co. and Pullman-Standard in 1945 and between 1946 and 1948 600 large cars were delivered to Chicago Transit Authority (290 cars were built by St.Louis and 310 by Pullman-Standard). These cars were painted in the CTA Everglades Green and Cream livery
with advertisements on car sides.
