 St.-Petersburg Tram Collection of handbuilt Streetcars, Interurbans, Trackless Trolleys & Buses in 1/48 scale.
The St.-Petersburg Tram Collection models are very limited handbuilt products. The regular production models are available in fully finished form (assembled, painted and decorated), but you can purchase these models also in kit form. The St.-Petersburg Tram Collection models are not motorized.
225 Multi-Unit PCC cars were built for Boston Elevated Railway under a War Production Board order between 1943 and 1946 by Pullman-Standard. The cars were delivered in three main batches; between 1948 and 1950 one hundred and fifty Wartime cars received monitor roofs and forced-air ventilation and these cars were referred to as "Commonwealth" while those not having the monitor roofs were nicknamed "flat tops". This class served Boston very well and ten cars are still in service today on Mattapan-Ashmont Line.
